Welcome to Sam's Place
I’d like the tears of those who grieve,

to dry before the sun; Of happy

memories that I leave when life is done.

I’d like to leave an echo whispering

softly down the ways, Of happy times

and laughing times and bright and

sunny days.

I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles
when life is done.
I’d like the memory of me to be a
happy one.
About

Our events and website were started in memory of our Sam. I call him “Our” Sam because he has touched so many lives and hearts in

the brief time he was here with us. Those who met him were amazed at his loud voice, loud laugh, the questions he would ask, and most

importantly his wonderful smile which would just melt your heart.

When Sam was 4, he was diagnosed with Acute myeloid leukemia. Although he had to spend a lot of time in the hospital Sam never

stopped being a kid! I think the doctors and nurses up on the 5th floor HOT unit can still hear his laugh. We were fortunate to have

such a wonderful hospital and staff at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

Sam loved to cheer on his Packers and Brewers. Wrestle with his older brother Jordan and his uncles and cousins. He loved to watch

wrestling and even went to meet a wrestler for his wish from Make a Wish.

He had a love of life and took joy in the everyday things that we take for granted.

We hope you can join us for our Sam Memorial events. To get together with old friends, meet new ones and have fun while raising

money to help find a cure. All the money raised in our events go to support research under the direction of Sam’s doctor, Dr. David

Margolis at the Medical College of Wisconsin HOOT fund.
